Sally Field

Sally Field is perhaps one of the most celebrated actresses in Hollywood. She first began her career when she played in Gidget in 1965. While the series was a flop, it could get credits as a springboard to her career later. She eventually got typecast for sitcoms and achieved success in 1976 as the title character in Sybil. She received an Emmy for her role that led to her breaking her sitcom typecast. In the succeeding years, she continued to achieve success, with her performances in Norma Rae and Places in the Heart winning her an Oscar for each film.

Today, Field remains active in showbiz, with her latest performance being in Dispatches from Elsewhere. Outside of her career, she has been involved in various philanthropic and social causes over the years.
