Ron Howard
While Ron Howard is well-known for his impressive directorial career, he made his name as an actor for decades. He started his career quite young, appearing in several TV series, including The Twilight Zone and The Andy Griffith Show. The latter, in particular, can receive credits for putting him into the spotlight. He continued to succeed in this field during the ‘70s. However, by 1980, he slowed down on his acting career considerably and focused on directing. His first great hit as a director was Apollo 13 in 1995.
Today, Howard remains one of Hollywood’s most respected directors. He’s now working on a film based on the cave rescue of a Thai football team in 2018. He still does some acting gigs from time to time, with Arrested Development being his most notable.
