Marc Copage
Marc Copage is one of the people who fearlessly stood up against oppression and defied stereotypes even as a child. As among the earliest black child stars in the US, Copage received the lead credit as Diahann Carroll’s son in the critically-acclaimed sitcom Julia back in 1968. Copage went on to portray Corey Baker, the son of a nurse for over three seasons. The said television show was the pioneer in starring an African-American woman with a non-conforming role. The show focused on big issues such as racism. After the show, Copage steered away from acting and decided to work as a leasing agent and assistant manager.
