Ellen DeGeneres and Portia de Rossi, who are arguably perhaps the most famous married couple in the world, are among others who have publicly told their tale. The couple has been together for almost a decade and has shown that love indeed triumphs. The talk show host and the actress initially met at a party back in 2000, but didn’t meet again until four years later. They began dating soon after, and the following years were perfect happiness for the couple. The two quickly realized that they wanted to spend the rest of their lives together. DeGeneres and Rossi walked down the aisle and exchanged vows in a private ceremony in 2008, just after the Supreme Court of California allowed same-sex marriage.
