Wanda Sykes & Alex Sykes

After finishing her studies with a Bachelor of Science degree in marketing, Wanda Sykes spent some time working as a contracting specialist before making her way to the comedy scene. After performing one stand-up comedy gig after another, Sykes slowly gained recognition from both her colleagues and the audience. Thanks to that, she had the chance to work as a writer on The Chris Rock Show. Since then, Sykes has also starred in movies and shows, including The Upshaws, Curb Your Enthusiasm, and Evan Almighty.

Besides her career under the spotlight, Sykes is also pretty interested in interior designing. In fact, when making new friends, she sometimes starts conversations about how she wants to remodel her kitchen. Who would’ve thought this would lead her to meet her now-wife Alex Sykes. An interior designer herself, Alex, and the Upshaws actress like to keep their personal life away from the spotlight – though that hasn’t stopped them from sharing a picture or two on social media.
