Matthew McConaughey & Camila Alves

Matthew McConaughey met his wife, actress, and model Camila Alves, in a club on Sunset Boulevard in Los Angeles in 2006. The latter admitted that she had no idea who he was back then, despite his long beard and Rasta hat. On Christmas Day of 2011, the actor proposed to Camila and they got married in a private Catholic wedding ceremony. They have three children together.

In 1993, McConaughey had his breakthrough role in the coming-of-age film Dazed and Confused. He eventually landed his first lead role in the legal drama A Time to Kill and went on to star in films such as The Lincoln Lawyer, The Wedding Planner, Dallas Buyers Club, and many others. Alves, on the other hand, left Brazil at the age of 19 to pursue a career as a fashion model in New York City. She also co-hosted the first season of Kid BBQ Championship on Food Network.
