Cynthia Nixon & Christine Marinoni

Cynthia Nixon has been known for her role as the lawyer Miranda Hobbes in the hit HBO TV series Sex and the City. However, compared to her fictional role as a woman who has her fair share of man troubles, the same cannot be said for her real life.

She has been in a steady relationship with Christine Marinoni since 2004. The two got engaged while at a rally to support same-sex marriage in New York back in 2009, and when the city passed the Marriage Equality Act, they officially tied the knot three years later in 2012. The two first met in 2001 when Nixon was the spokesperson for Marinoni’s Alliance for Quality Education. However, she was still with Danny Mozes at the time, but after their separation, she started dating Marinoni. From there, the rest was history as a long-lasting relationship began.
