Any long-lasting couple list will never be complete without Christopher Guest and Jamie Lee Curtis. These two have been together for decades, tying the knot back in 1984. Though it might be hard to believe, the actress knew right away that Guest would be her husband the first time she saw him. She pointed him to a friend while flipping a magazine and ended up having his number.

True to her words, it happened. What is their secret, you ask? Curtis revealed it was simply not hiring their lawyers to opt for legal separation. She only had two words to advise other couples: “Don’t leave.” She strongly believed that if someone stayed long on the bus, the scenery would eventually change. Guest quickly countered her advice, saying it would depend on what bus. Sure enough, Guest and Curtis have been happily married for 38 years and share three kids together.
