Their on-screen and off-screen collaboration has strengthened their friendship and improved their acting. That is solely due to their ability to distinguish reality from fantasy. While both Oscar winners prefer to concentrate the spotlight on their work rather than their families, they have given us glimpses into their winning partnership on occasion. Cruz first got her big break in the Spanish language film Jamón Jamón back in 1992, and it was on the set of that film she met another emerging star, Bardem, wherein he portrayed her love interest on TV and married her almost two decades later in real life.
