The One With Their Favorite Moment: Friends Cast Reveal Their Favorite Episodes
While there are many movies worth seeing in theaters, it’s no secret that many of our favorite titles are television shows. Throughout the years, the entertainment industry has produced a plethora of series for us to watch whenever we turn on the television. With that said, one such show that has skyrocketed in degree and has become one of the most popular is the ten-season-long sitcom Friends. Fans of the show are bound to have their own favorite moments. Of course, the cast does as well.
Jennifer Aniston
First and foremost, consider Jennifer Aniston. Aniston has made numerous investments in the spotlight since leaving the show as Rachel Green, including starring and producing in The Morning Show. Now, the actress has stated that every episode with a flashback scene showing the cast before they began hanging out in the iconic Central Perk café is her favorite Friends episode. Who didn’t find it amusing to see Monica in her high school years, let alone Ross with his afro?
David Schwimmer
If you asked a show fan to impersonate Ross, all they’d have to do is say the character’s iconic “Hi.” It’s difficult to imagine anyone else playing Ross Geller besides David Schwimmer. Although his most recent projects have taken him into more serious territory, such as his role as a lawyer in American Crime Story, Schwimmer still has a soft spot in his heart for the award-winning comedy series. In fact, there’s one episode in particular that he’d like to show his children someday: season 7’s The One With the Holiday Armadillo, in which Ross teaches his son about Hanukkah.
Courteney Cox
Courteney Cox was already well-known in the entertainment industry prior to her stint on Friends as Monica Geller, thanks to her acting credit as Gale Weathers in the Scream movies. With that said, Cox has stated that her favorite episode of the widely beloved sitcom, which earned her one Screen Actors Guild Award, is season 1’s The One with the Blackout, and the reason is simple: she can’t help but laugh at the part where Joey, Monica, and Phoebe are singing in her apartment, while Rachel is outside helping Ross with his feline troubles.
Matthew Perry
Every social circle has at least one person who is well-known for being witty and sarcastic. Chandler Bing, played by Matthew Perry, holds that title among the main characters in Friends. Perry’s performance as Chandler made audiences laugh throughout the series with his well-timed quips and remarks. Among all of these, Perry claims his favorite occurred in season 2’s The One with Ross’ New Girlfriend, when Joey couldn’t recall the last time he went to his tailor. “You have to stop the Q-tip when there’s resistance!” Chandler finally said, his gas tank nearly empty.
Lisa Kudrow
It’s no secret that everyone has more than a few secrets up their sleeve. This is also true for Lisa Kudrow’s Phoebe Buffay, who is full of surprises. Friends may have been a successful project for its cast and crew, but that doesn’t mean it didn’t have its share of setbacks. Nonetheless, Kudrow adored season 8’s The One with the Halloween Party. It was a difficult time for almost everyone, but thanks to that particular episode, Friends viewers expressed their gratitude to the show’s cast for making their days a little brighter.
Matt LeBlanc
It’s safe to say that we can identify with almost every member of Friends’ main cast. Of course, this includes Matt LeBlanc’s effortlessly charming and humorous Joey Tribbiani. While LeBlanc and his on-screen persona are known for being quite happy and wholesome, the actor’s favorite episode – or, in this case, episodes – leans a little more to the sentimental side of the spectrum. That said, the show’s two-part finale deserves the credit. It was a difficult time for everyone, seeing the project they’d worked on for a decade finally come to an end, but that’s also why LeBlanc loved it: it demonstrated how much they cared about their characters and the show.
